The Café in the Crypt is based in the Kemp Town Crypt Community Centre beneath St George’s Church. Open each weekday, the Café offers a delicious selection of snacks, meals, teas and coffees. Opened in September 2007, the Café is an exciting community partnership between the Community Centre and St John’s School and College. Both are long established charities.

St John’s is located in Walpole Rd, Kemp Town and provides care and education for students with a wide range of complex learning difficulties.Through the management and operation of the Café, it offers valuable work-related opportunities.This unique social enterprise allows the students to develop their independence in a supported environment - and provides Kemp Town with a great place to meet and eat.
